Clone Saw Builds
What is a Clone/Duplicate Saw ?
A clone saw is a copy of an original OEM chainsaw. A clone saw "kit" comes in a box, you can assemble all of the parts inside the box to create a "copy" of the original OEM saw. This is not recommended, even by the people who make the saw kit. We DO NOT BUILD CLONE SAWS. We use only the parts in the saw kit that we have tested and have been proven to last. We don't use the assembly screws supplied in the saw kit, along with a few other parts that we have deemed unsatisfactory in building a less expensive quality chainsaw.
What makes a Duplicate saw from Papa's Saw Shop different from a Clone saw?
1. Our quality control Dept. inspects every part in the chainsaw kit. Any part that does not meet our high standards are replaced with OEM or equivalent parts.
2. Every Unit is assembled with grade 5 screws. This makes the saw tougher, last longer and minimizes the chances of the unit developing a vacuum leak. Most OEM chainsaws USED to be made with these screws but have stopped using them to save money and enhance profits.
3. We test every single chainsaw we build. We are in the business of selling quality built chainsaws. Period.
